9 weeks

Today, Baby Smith is 9 weeks old. I am still feeling tired and a little nauseas, although not sick enough to even compain....I have been very lucky:) But the tiredness...I'm so ready for the 2nd trimester, when that is supposed to subside....although I can't, I want to sleep ALL OF THE TIME!!!!

Ben and I have decided that once I complete my Master's program in May, that I will not begin the Intern hours. I will just continue teaching and will be able to come home like a normal wife and mommy and enjoy my family:) I will begin my intern hours in June of 2011. Luckily, I found a postition in District 5, close to my school to complete my intern hours.

We are getting more and more excited about having a baby:) We can't wait!!! We noticed last night, that I am showing a little bit (I need to post a picture), and that my tummy is toughening a little...Ben noticed that:)

I already knew that God truly blessed me when he sent Ben my way....but, I feel even stronger about that now. He has been WONDERFUL!!!! He cleans, cooks, does dishes and laundry, goes grocery shopping, and even reminds me to take my prenatal vitamins....he's so great, and I know that he will be the best daddy in the world!!!! He's so understanding too of my mood changes....I haven't had very many issues with that, but when the occasional one hits, he is so wonderful about it.....I just love him SOOOO much!!!!!

8 weeks

So, today is the 8 week mark. Baby Smith is supposed to be the size of a kidney bean. We have a doctor's visit tomorrow to make sure that everything is progressing as normal. I didn't have Ben take a pic, but I may get him to do that tonight, and I will post it later.

I'm still not very sick, but I have been very tired, and I've been having some headaches. I hope that is normal....I'll ask Dr. Peyero tomorrow.

One of my best friends, Amber just found out that she is pregnant, and is due exactly two weeks after us, on Nov. 11....it will be so much fun to have another pregnant friend going through the journey with me.

My brother and sister in law are due on Sept. 17, and they can potentially find out the sex of their baby today....can't wait to hear that news:)

7 weeks

So, today is the 7 week mark. I am still feeling a little tired, and I feel a little sick every now and then....nothing major though, and the feeling goes away fairly quickly.....thankfully:)

Ben and I go to the doctor on March 19th and I've just learned that we should be able to hear the heartbeat.....I can't wait!!!!

So, babycenter.com suggests taking a pic of your belly at 7 weeks....I'm going to try and remember to do that tonight, so I can post it tomorrow.

Brad Paisley and Friday's Doctor appointment

So, last Thursday night, Ben and I went to the Brad Paisley concert at the Bilo Center. We had a great time, but I learned that night, that right now, staying out late during the week isn't an option. I was SOOOO TIRED on Friday....and I still had to teach:( So, my new plan is that I NEED no less than 8 hours of sleep at night to function the next day....any less, and I am no good!!!!

Friday, we had an appointment with the nurse at Dr. Pereyo's office. She actually changed our due date to Oct. 27th. Overall we had a great session with her, except that she told me that I couldn't take my nice long hot baths anymore....I was so upset. I love baths. But, the nurse said that after about 5 minutes, the warm water can heat up the fluid around the baby....sounds pretty crazy to me...but I'm not willing to risk it....so, it's showers now...boooo!!!!! Our next appointment is with Dr. Peyero on March 19th:) Oh, the nurse also told us that a pregnant woman's body, while sleeping, is working harder than a person who is climbing Mt. Everest....no wonder I am so tired:)

6 weeks

So, today, I am 6 weeks pregnant. The only changes that I have noticed are an increase in the number of times that I have to go to the restroom at night, and slight fatigue. Nothing major though, and thankfully, NO MORNING SICKNESS....yet. My mood can change though at the drop of a hat....this has only been happening though at school, not at home yet....my poor ninth graders.....

Surprise!!!!!!

I'm not sure that anyone will read this blog since we live pretty close to most family members, but I wanted a way to document important occasions....

Other than my wedding to the most wonderful man in the world (yes, I said world), in 2008, the best news yet, is that WE'RE PREGNANT!!!!!!!

Ben's 29th birthday was this past Tuesday. I took a test on Tuesday and found out the great news....and immediately called Ben to tell him to please hurry home. Life has been a whirlwind since then. We went to the doctor on Wednesday to confirm what the at home test already said, talked to the doctor, and he gave us a due date on October 28th. We are so excited:)

So, I'm going to try the blogging thing one more time. I tried this a few months ago, but decided that I had no time due to my busy schedule to blog.

Well, I am now going to try to make time....so, here goes......
