36 weeks!!!

Only 4 more to go......We had a weekly checkup last Thursday with Dr. Peyero (at 35 wks). He said that everything looked great, but he thought that Baby Smith might be breech. I asked him what the best option would be for the baby and he said a C-section. Alot of people wouldn't have liked this idea, but I REALLY want what's best for this sweet baby!!!! So, Ben and I discussed the options of when we could schedule the section. Well, today, we had another weekly appt., and Dr. Hardin thinks that Baby Smith has turned and is no longer breech. She did an exam and said she was pretty sure that he had turned. She also told us that she thinks he weighs between 7 and 7.5 lbs already....and we still have 4 weeks left....wow!!! I have gained about 27 lbs....which would explain why every inch of my belly feels like it is filled with baby!!!

Also, this past week, we had 2 showers....one at Carter and Angie's on Sat night, and one at my school on Wednesday. We received LOTS of great gifts. I have most of them arranged, and ready for Baby Smith to use/wear. I will try to post pics later.

Also, we had some preg pics made this past Sunday with Mike Lamb. Mike is my friend, Casey's, brother-in-law, and he takes WONDERFUL pics. He took our engagement pics 2 years ago. Instead of charging us, he just wanted to be able to use our pics on his website...of course, we agreed. So, as for preg pics....we weren't going to take any, but Mike called again and offered to do them for free in exchange for him being able to use them....so, once again, we said yes. I'm so glad that we agreed. I saw a couple of them on Sun., and I LOVE them!!!! I know that my belly is huge right now, but it's ok, because our sweet baby boy is in there.....and I love that!!!! I'm so glad that we will have these pics to cherish forever!!!!

Ben and my 2 year anniversary is this Sunday, Oct. 3rd...I will post about that next week!!!! But, I will say that Ben is the most wonderful husband, and I can't wait to spend many more years with him!!!!!

35 weeks...preg pics

So, I started this blog as a way to keep pics in one place and to later turn this into a scrapbook. I don't love all of these pics...I'm huge....and i know that most people would never put these pics on a blog....and that prob only us along with our parents and grandparents will appreciate them.....but, my sweet baby is in that tummy, and I wanted to put them on here so that they make it into the blog book. I am 35 and a half weeks pregnant in these pics. Note to self: Take the preg pics earlier the next time:) These pics were taken on Sept. 26, 2010. View at your own risk:)

Shower at Carter and Angie's

Carter and Angie Smith and Laddie and Peggy Harrison, threw a shower for Baby Smith on 9/25/2010. It was great to see everyone, and we got some great gifts!!! I'm so excited about meeting Baby Smith in less than one month!

35 weeks.....only 5 more!!!!!!

So, today marks 35 weeks...only 5 more to go. I am sooo excited and cannot wait to meet this sweet baby that I have been carrying now for about 8 months!!!!Today begins our one week checkups. We have an appt with Dr. Peyero at 3:45 at the 290 office. I am so excited about hearing the sweet heartbeat!!!

This past weekend, Ben's cousin, Bill, married Tammy Copeland. Ben was a groomsman, so we attended the rehearshal and dinner on Friday night, and the wedding was on Saturday. The wedding was so pretty, and my wonderful husband was the hottest groomsman....he always is:)

Just need to say this....I have been getting lots of comments about how large I have gotten....and I've only gained 27 lbs...I have quite a few friends who gained 40 lbs and more...I couldn't imagine the comments that they received. It's sort of like people don't realize that I know I am big.....I'm the one who can't fit into my normal clothes......I'm pregnant...I'm supposed to have a belly....it's filled with a precious boy.....I guess that some people weren't taught the appropriate things to say to others....and the thoughts that should be kept to themselves. Luckily, I happen to not get offended by most things....so, that works to my advantage in those situations.

Anyway, I am thankful for the 27 lbs that I have gained....I'm thankful that I look pregnant....I love it!!!!....and I love the sweet baby who is making my tummy look so large....and I can't wait to meet him in 5 weeks!!!!!:)

This past week was great!!!

On Thursday, the 9th, we had a doctor's appt....and once again, got to hear a sweet heartbeat:) Then, Ben and I met Josh and Sarah, Ryan, Robbie, Jeff and Dana and Jack at the Wing Fling in Greer....we had tons of fun. I didn't have wings...Sarah and I ate at Bin 112....yummy!!!

On Friday, the 10th, we met Jeremy, Julie and Reese and April, Chad and Carter in Greer. We ate sushi at the Oyster Bar...I had a shrimp tempura roll (it's cooked:) Then, we walked around in the park. We had a great, but relaxing time. It was so sweet to watch Carter and Reese try to play in the water:) Can't wait to watch our little boy do the same!!!

On Saturday, we had dinner with Ben's family at City Range in Spartanburg.....great time!!!

Sunday, we went to church with my parent's, ate lunch with them, then went back to church for a grandparent's shower. I've never heard of a grandparent's shower, but the ladies at my parent's church threw them a shower on grandparent's day...so sweet!!! They received lots of good things:) Now Josh and Alicia and Ben and me won't have to pack so much when we send our sweet babies to stay with my mother and daddy!!!

Tuesday was a great day too.....our niece was born. Layla Rai Padgett was born at 3:48 pm, she weighed 6 lbs, 14 oz, and was 19 and one fourth inches long. She is PRECIOUS!!!!! We went to the hospital to see her...I wanted to hold her the entire time!!! Josh and Alicia and Layla are all doing great!!!

Today is Robin's bday, so we'll probably go out to eat tonight with Ben's family, then tomorrow night, we have Bill and Tammy's wedding rehearsal and dinner, and their wedding on Saturday:)

I take my exam to receive my therapy license on Tuesday....BUSY, but great couple of weeks!!!:)

33 weeks

We are 33 weeks today...only 7 more to go:) This past week has been great....but I am getting LOTS bigger!!! I've gained about 24 lbs so far....but I feel like I've gained about 50 lbs!!! We have a doctors appt today, and I can't wait to hear Baby Smith's heartbeat....I LOVE hearing his heartbeat. We are taking our last class this Saturday (Infant CPR), and on Sunday, my parent's church is throwing a grandparent's shower for them....I'm excited about a shower being thrown for them and I can't wait to go to it!!!


Dear Baby Smith,

Last night, your daddy and I watched and felt you move around for about 2 hours. You are so active. It is the sweetest thing in the world!!! I love watching your daddy's eyes light up when you make a huge move or kick me really hard!! You had the hiccups last night too, and your daddy put his ear to my tummy and could hear the hiccup motion that you were making. I'm so glad that he can hear those kinds of things...I wish that I could hear them too, but I guess I'm lucky enough to feel what is going on inside of me:) We CANNOT wait to meet you in 7 weeks. We LOVE you so much already!!!

32 weeks

So, today marks the 32 week point...only 8 weeks left to go before we get to meet Sweet Baby Smith:) I can't wait!!! Ben and I sit on the couch every night and feel him move around for about an hour....I LOVE that time....we can pick out feet and his rear....and, of course, I can feel his head almost constantly on my bladder:)!!!! I LOVE it when Ben can feel and see him move!! I have my breastfeeding class tonight. I think that I will do this one alone. Ben has been wonderful, and has gone to all of the other classes with me, but I can't see him enjoying this one....at all!!!

Some things are coming together in the nursery....although there is still lots to do. I am posting pics:)

Ben's very talented Uncle David made our bumper and pillows...out of curtains that I bought at the Pottery Barn....love them!!!!

Oh, Ben and I had our last pre baby vacation this past weekend....we went to Gatlinburg and stayed in "Simple Pleasures." It was the perfect cabin for the perfect weekend!! I love getting away with just Ben....I LOVE spending alone time with him.....I have a couple of pics from the weekend...I'll try to post those soon!!
