BABY SMITH IS.... A BOY!!!!!!! 17 weeks

So, last Friday, May 14th, we had our 16 week ultrasound and learned that Baby Smith is a BOY:) We are sooo happy. This child moved like crazy too:) He already has so much energy!! Ben had been having dreams about girls, but said he was very relieved to learn that his first child will be a boy...his words, "now, if we have a girl next, I will have an extra set of eyes (meaning her older brother) to help me watch out for her." I'm a little afraid of the trouble that our Baby Boy Smith might get into with his 3 week older cousin, Baby Boy Hodge. I feel like Anna and I will have our hands full:) I am so excited though, and can't wait to see little Hodge and Smith grow up:)

Also, my brother and sister in law are having a girl, who will be 6 weeks older than Baby Smith. My parents don't have any grandchildren yet, so I think that it's pretty cool that they will get one of each 6 weeks apart:)

After Ben and I learned the sex of Baby Smith, we headed to Charleston to meet Ryan and Mamie and Jeff and Dana. We rented a condo for the week and Ben and Ryan were able to go fishing with Cot on Saturday. Oh, Cot and Ryan were soooo excited about us having a boy. They have both been saying all along that we were having a boy:) Mamie and I shopped and layed out on Sat....and I received the worst sunburn of my life....I didn't realize that pregnant girls are more prone to burning....oh well...it's feeling much better now:) Ben and I did a little shopping for Baby Boy Smith on Friday, and we bought a ducky pic frame and a canvas for Baby Smith's first footprints. Mamie and I also picked up a Nantucket red canvas diaper bag from the Gap. I'm going to have trouble limiting myself with what I buy for this child....I want everything out there for him!!!

I have also been getting lots of energy back....which is wonderful:)

My supervision and client load is coming to an end, and we only have one more week and 2 days left of school, so I should have lots more time on my hands pretty soon to begin working on a nursery.
