My sweet, precious, Mac Smith,
I cannot believe that you are 2 years old today. I remember being at the hospital 2 years ago waiting for you to come into this world. Your daddy and I were so excited to meet you. Finally, you arrived. I already loved you, but that love multiplied millions of times when I laid my eyes on you. You were the most perfect baby for our little family. I thought that I could not possibly love you anymore than I did on that day, but I was wrong. My love for you grows every single day....it blows my mind!
You are the sweetest baby (little boy now). You love your mama, and you tell me often, "Wuv you mama.". You make my heart so happy. You ADORE your daddy. He is the first person that you ask about every morning, when I get you out of your crib. You want to do EVERYTHING that he does. It is the sweetest thing.....and, I couldn't think of a better person for you to mimic.
You have the best manners....and this makes me really happy and proud. If you sneeze, you say, "cuse me." When others sneeze or cough, you say "bless you mama/dada, etc." You cover your mouth too, when you cough or sneeze. I really am so proud of this. You also are so good at saying thank you. You thank your daddy and me when we give you most anything....food, toys, etc. We had your birthday party this past Saturday...you were so sweet telling everything "thank you," for your presents. You are getting better with "yes ma'am/sir," and "no ma'am/sir." You say it, but you usually have to be reminded. You also say, "sowwy," if you do something that hurts someone else. Oh, and you say "cuse me" if you bump into someone. Your sweetness and use of manners really amazes me!!
You still LOVE bananas, "nannies." You eat at least one every morning, along with your yogurt (which you also love). Some days though, you eat 2 nannies, or even three. You really, really, really love bananas. You are also into turkey, cheese, pizza, apples, "chicken nut nuts," "ice-keem," and "cwakawars," (crackers). You of course still love milk and juice and water, and you love to talk about "mamas diet pep", and "diet spite, " and "dadas coffee."
Dada lets you drive his truck and jeep now....only to Mom's house or in the driveway...but, he really does let you steer the steering wheel. So, you cry to "dwive dada's truck," and his "beet" (jeep:).
You love so many people and we pray for them every night. We always pray for close family members, but then I ask you if there is anyone else that you want to pray for (I sometimes leave names off intentionally, because I know that you will remember to pray for them). You always pray for paypa and pappy and "uncle Phil," and "uncle Jeff, Dana, Jack and Emie." Sometimes I purposefully leave out Mimi or Nama, and you always remind us to pray for them. You also love to pray for "my megan."
As much as you love others, they love you just as much, or more. People LOVE you and it makes me so happy. I love to get phone calls when people call just to ask how you are doing. You really are loved by so many people.
You love to talk on the phone now. You ask to call mimi and paypa about once or twice a week. And, you really carry on conversations. You get so excited when they answer the phone. You say, "hey mimi" and "hey paypa," in the sweetest voice. You also are so sweet when you say "love you," when you are hanging up the phone.
You are growing up too fast. You are already wearing 3T clothes, and yesterday, you had your first haircut. We took you to Mike Bullock's, since that's where your Pappy, Paypa and Dada get their hair cut. Dada had his hair cut first, then you sat in his lap while Mike cut your hair. You were a little wiggly, but you didn't cry at all. You and dada just looked through hunting and fishing magazines, while Mike cut your hair.
Speaking of hunting and fishing, you are obsessed with deer and fish, and lots of other animals...oh, and tractors, trucks, etc. Daddy and I brought you home a poster of different kinds of fish (freshwater and saltwater) the last time that we went to Charleston. You can already point out the catfish, bream, shark, hammerhead, tuna, sting ray, dolphin, and lots more that I can 't remember. It just amazes me. They all look the same to me, but, at 2, you can already tell them apart:)
I could write about you for hours. You are so wonderful and I am so blessed that Jesus chose me to be your mommy. I look at you every day and I realize the power of God and the graciousness that he has shown us, by entrusting us with you. I am trying to be the best mommy that I know how to be. In spite of my shortcomings, you are growing into such a smart, wonderful, polite little boy. I am sad that you are growing up so quickly, but I love to see you blossom and learn new things at the same time.
I love you Mac Smith...more than you will ever know and more than I will ever be able to write down in words. You are the perfect addition to my life and to our little family.
I love love love love love you!!!
