Just some things about Mac that I do not want to forget....

As I sit here, and feel Baby Brother Smith moving around in my tummy, I can't help but think of how sweet it will be to see these two boys together. I can't wait to see them play together...I want them to be best friends....and I'm excited about being the only girl among 3 great guys!!!

I was also remembering some things that Mac has done or said recently that I do not want to forget.....

Mac, You LOVE helping me with the laundry. Actually, doing the laundry now means that you walk down to the basement with me and look around at everything while I do the laundry. Every time I walk towards the basement door, you run as fast as you can to put on your boots (either cowboy boots or rain boots) and you cry if you think that I'm going to go downstairs without you. You hold my hand, and we count the 11 steps down to the bottom....for some reason, you love the number 9 right now and you say it almost for every step. If you step funny, or think that you may fall, you say "Wo.... Mac," as if to tell himself to slow down. Then, we walk back up the steps and we count them once again:)

When you want us to hold you now, you'll say "Mommy, hold ja."....meaning hold you....I guess that's how it sounds to you when we say it.

You are into telling us that you're fine. If I asked you if you want to eat, and if you aren't hungry, you'll say, "no mommy, I fine."

You LOVE fire trucks right now....and tractors....and fish. We have a poster of fish and you can point to and name the Marlin, Shark, Stingray, Catfish, Hammerhead,....and lots of others. You and your daddy go over these fish quite often:) You can name all kinds of tractors and trucks too....bobcats, excavators, front loaders, firetrucks, trash trucks, dump trucks, "big ole truck mommy"...etc. It's so sweet to see you become so familiar with things that your daddy is into.

I'm beginning to think that you are not a morning person. You struggle in the morning, and sometimes, I just have to leave you in the bed until you calm down a little. You always do, and as soon as you do I can't wait to swoop you up.

You are becoming sooo independent. You want to do everything by yourself....and, if we try to help, you cry.

You are still so sweet saying your prayers....you want to include everyone. Last night, after your prayers, I was telling you how much that I loved you, and you said, "love blue blanket mommy." I said that I loved your blue blanket and then you said, "love green blanket mommy." Of course, I said that I loved your green blanket too. Then you said, "love you mommy" (and my heart melted) and I said that I loved you too so much and asked if you loved your daddy, and you yelled a big "uh huh, mommy!!!" You REALLY love your daddy!!!!!
