Mother's Day

So, this past weekend was Mother's Day. Last Mother's Day, I was pregnant, so this was my first Mother's Day since Mac was born....I LOVED it!!!!

Our weekend started off with a family night to Brixx on Friday....I love the time that I can spend alone with only Ben and Mac!!

Saturday morning, we fed Mac at his normal time...5:45 am, then he went back to sleep like he does on the weekends, until 8:30. We got up, took showers, etc., then headed to the Greer Family Fest for lunch at Wild Ace and to meet up with Courtney. Lunch was great, and it was wonderful seeing Courtney!! Then, we headed to Matt and Ambers to help with a baby shower for Matt and Amy and sweet Selah who is due in July....great times with some of my fav people!!

Sunday morning, once again, Mac woke for his 5:45 feeding, then went back to sleep....we all got up again around 7:30, to get ready for Church. Ben and Mac gave me the sweetest cards, and a gift card to my fav place, Urban Nirvana!!! Then, off to church!! Mac was dedicated at Church on Sunday morning. Funny story.....we fed Mac around 8:30 on Sunday morning....I was afraid that he might spit up during dedication if we just fed him formula, so we also gave him some green beans....which he has NEVER spit up....well, he did sunday morning....luckily, it wasn't during the service, but it was right before the service started. He spit up on his sweet WHITE outfit, and on Ben and me (thank goodness we were wearing black:)! Anyway, at first, I panicked, then I realized what a funny story that this would be one day....and, you couldn't even see the nice green stain from the congregation....thankfully!!! Mac did great during dedication!!! I'm so thankful for the people in his life who love him so much. He had lots of family and friends who were there to witness his dedication....My Mother and Daddy, Ben's Mother and Daddy, my Mama and Nanny, Uncle Will, Aunt Jessi, Josh and Sarah, Ryan and Mamie, Jeff, Dana and Jack. Harper was also dedicated during the same service, so Matt and Amber and Holden were on stage with us, and Jeremy and Julie and Reese were there, and Matt and Amy!! I LOVE that so many of our closest friends and family were all in the same place for this special time! After church, we had lunch at Longhorn with Ben's family, then headed home for a Sunday afternoon nap....I LOVE Sunday afternoon naps!! Then, we headed to my grandparent's farm to celebrate Mother's Day and my cousin's birthday.

We had lots going on this past weekend, but I feel so blessed to have been able to spend time with so many important people in our lives....we were able to see most of our family and lots of our closest friends, all in one weekend!!!! I LOVED it!!!!
